OABs in Exchange 2013 and later are improved over OABs in Exchange 2010. This OAB is also the default OAB, which means it's the OAB that's used by mailboxes and mailbox databases that don't have an OAB assigned to them.
#Get offline address book server Offline
Happy to provide Professional Exchange Server Consultancy to anywhere in the world. By default, a new installation of Exchange creates an OAB named Default Offline Address Book on the server. Remember to backup before applying the advice. Wait for more than 5 mins and than do the Autodiscovery test. Under OAB set the polling interval to 5 mins. Go to Server Configuration and choose CLient Access. Go back in there and choose Web Distribution, choose the address book you wish to make avaliable (assuming OAB Default List).Ĭlick okay and than on the Offline Address Book itsself within Organisation COnfiguration right click it and choose update. Gives you an error saying you will not have any OAB.
In distribution take off the Web and Public Folder method. Go to the Organisation Configuration and click on Mailbox. The problem you have is that your server is not advertising the URL for the Offline Address Book. Any other information you may need i can provide. Not really sure where to go from here but i have hundreds of PC's getting this sync error and would really like to have the OAB working. Anyone have any insight as to what the permissions on autodiscover should be. So i'm assuming this is an IIS / Autodiscover issue. When i go to any client and "Test e-mail autoconfiguration" there is no line item for "OAB URL" like i used to have.Īfter running "Test-OutlookWebServices | fl" i get I have the CAS/Hub on one server and the mailbox on the other. Under Sync Issues it says that Outlook is unable to find an Offline Address Book server. Task reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. Now that i'm ready to remove exchange 2003 i noticed that users just started are getting the 0x8004010F error while sending/receiving.
I have had Exchange 2007 running in my environment in mixed mode with Exchange 2003 for about 2months now, slowly migrating users over.
